Plane, train, or road trip, your carry-on is your safe haven while traveling. It should contain what you truly need: your essentials, your peace of mind, your lifesavers. No unnecessary clutter, just smart choices.

We've put together a list of our carry-on essentials for you. Compact. Practical. And with a stylish twist. Just as you've come to expect from us.

1. Passport, boarding pass and documents

Sounds logical, but it's surprising how often someone is looking for their passport when the need arises.

2. Earphones or headphones

For a moment of peace, or for that podcast you've been meaning to listen to for weeks. It's also handy for shutting yourself off from crying babies or other noise.

3. Mini bag with essentials

Think about:

– Lip balm

– Hand cream

– Cleaning wipes

– Mini perfume

– Toothbrush & toothpaste

If you are flying, make sure everything is under 100ml and in a transparent bag.

4. A warm sweater or scarf

Airplanes are often colder than you think. A large scarf is multifunctional: blanket, pillow, shawl, and style statement all in one.

5. Power bank & cable

There's nothing more annoying than a dead phone while on the road. Small, light, and worth its weight in gold.

6. A book that opens your mind

Our recommendation for this summer? Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Lighthearted, inspiring, and just what you need to get your creative juices flowing. No heavy stuff, just powerful insights. Perfect for daydreaming in the car, on the train, on the plane, or on your towel in the sun.

7. Notebook + pen

Because Big Magic sparks ideas. And daydreaming along the way often leads to brilliant inspirations. Hold on to them. You'll thank yourself later.

8. Your favorite compact bag

In addition to your larger carry-on bag, bring a small bag (like our crossbody Viva). It's perfect for storing your essentials, like your passport, travel documents, sunglasses, and lip balm. Ideal for when you arrive: just the bare essentials, from departure to sunset dinner.

And one more thing: pack a clean pair of underwear, a bikini, or a swimsuit in your carry-on. If your suitcase is delayed, you'll at least be at the poolside looking stylish and not empty-handed.

Found everything? Great. Now: where are we going next?

And remember: the best ideas often come when you're on the go.
