She’s a mother, entrepreneur, soon-to-be author, and knows everything about coffee: Rose van Asten. Rose has deleted the word impossible from her dictionary, because she believes there’s always another way. In this interview, she speaks openly about her drive, her pride, and that unexpected blunder with Queen Máxima. You don’t want to miss this.

The Trashious pay-off is: Where some see trash, we see opportunities. Why does this fit you so well? If something supposedly can’t be done or seems difficult, I simply remove the words can’t and difficult. Then I look for the way it can be done.

At what moments do you feel strongest? Those rare moments when I’m not rushing and everything is completely under control.

Who or what gives you that kick when you need it? My husband. I just hope he doesn’t read this. And my daughters are incredible at analyzing situations—even when it’s about me.

Which choices in your life make you proud? Finally making time for my daughters. It should have been earlier, but I definitely wasn’t too late.

How do you motivate yourself on days when you’d rather stay under a blanket? By telling myself: Don’t think, just do it now and it’ll be over with.

What’s the biggest blunder you can laugh about now? That frozen moment when I just stared at Queen Máxima while handing her a cappuccino, as she asked me something about coffee. She thought I didn’t understand Dutch 😊. Inspired? Your story deserves to be heard as well and we’d love to shine a light on it. We invite you to share it here >>
